📏 How to Measure for Aluminium French Doors

Accurate measuring ensures your doors install smoothly and perform correctly.

✅ Measuring a Brick Opening (No Frame Installed)

• Measure the height in three places: left, centre, and right

• Measure the width at the top, middle, and bottom

• Take the average of each set

• Subtract 10mm for fitting clearance

✅ Measuring an Open Frame

• Repeat the three-point method above

• Account for any flooring (e.g. carpet)

• Use the smallest width and height

• External doors: measure depth from sheetrock to outer sheeting

• Internal doors: measure from sheetrock to sheetrock

🚪 Which Hinge Side Do You Need?

Stand facing the door so it opens toward you:

• Hinges on the left = left-hinged door

• Hinges on the right = right-hinged door
