🧰 How to Measure for Your UPVC French Doors

Getting the right fit starts with the right measurements. Follow this step-by-step guide:

✅ If You Don’t Have an Existing Frame:

1. Measure the height in three places: left, centre, right
2. Measure the width in three places: top, middle, bottom
3. Take the average of each set
4. Subtract 10mm for fitting clearance

This prevents misalignment or forcing the frame during installation.

✅ Measuring an Open Frame:

1. Follow the same 3-point process for width and height
2. Account for floor thickness (e.g. carpets or tiles)
3. Use the narrowest measurements as your final size
4. Measure door thickness depending on installation:
   • Exterior door: Measure wall depth from sheetrock to outer sheeting
   • Interior door: Measure from sheetrock to sheetrock

🚪 Hinge Direction – Left or Right?

To determine which side hinge you need:

• Stand facing the door so it opens towards you
• Hinges on the left? Order a left-hinged door
• Hinges on the right? Order a right-hinged door
